Rendered: Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Redesign

07/10/2020 Ryan D.

Have you wondered how GM could take advantage of styling trends and revitalize the Colorado ZR2? AutoBison has just the design for you:

Note the “half-hidden” look of the headlights, an increasingly popular trend, combined with the triple-opening appearance, exceedingly good front and rear angles (for serious off-roading), and not one but two subtle horizontal bars—one holding the Chevrolet name (similar to the logo on Raptors, and the black-painted bumpers popularized some time ago by Volkswagen and Audi), and the bright one just below the crossover. Tow hooks are semi-hidden, bright red for easy discovery when needed.

With so many styling cues, including a well sculpted side, one could think this truck would end up like so many Hyundai or Honda cars, which have too many styling events per cubic foot; but it comes together somehow into a cohesive whole. Now, if only GM would go with it…
