392 Jeep Wrangler or Gladiator teased on Twitter
Jeep posted a picture on Twitter of what appears to be a Wrangler or Gladiator with a 392 badge on the hood. In FCA lingo, the 392 is the 6.4 Hemi which boasts different power levels for different applications. For example, the Ram HD equipped with the 6.4 Hemi makes 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Grand Cherokee SRT also has the 6.4 Hemi but that makes significantly more power at 475 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque.
From this picture, we can see that there is a massive hood scoop down the middle of the hood. Other than the 392 badge and the hood scoop, there is really not much else that is significant to dissect.
The Bronco will be unveiled tomorrow and this could be a way for Jeep to take some thunder away from the highly anticipated SUV. We would also like to point out that Easter Jeep Safari did not happen this year. This Jeep shown above may just be a concept. However, time will tell and it will be interesting to see how Jeep reacts to the gauntlet that Ford is throwing down.
