What&#8217;s more, the dash won\u2019t show any warnings, and the gear won\u2019t show up in the PRNDL. It was a problem that affected hundreds of thousands of cars Back When, but the reasons are different now.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.autobison.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/explorer.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-544\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autobison.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/explorer.jpg\" alt=\"2020 Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator recall\" width=\"684\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.autobison.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/explorer.jpg 684w, https:\/\/www.autobison.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/explorer-440x214.jpg 440w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 684px) 100vw, 684px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The 2020 Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator suffer from a double whammy: the manual park release cover may not have been put in, which makes it easier to accidentally nudge the big SUVs into neutral\u2014and Ford may have forgotten to take the vehicles out of Factory Mode, so you won\u2019t even get a warning. Fortunately for Ford, this time only around 14,000 SUVs are affected.<\/p>\n<p>Dealers will install the missing cover and put the instrument cluster into the right mode for you, if your SUV is one of the unlucky ones.
