The upcoming 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV is due to have a list price of \u201caround $30,000\u201d in the United States, undercutting the cheapest Tesla available by a good margin.<\/p>\n

The Equinox EV, which follows the dull naming pattern of Silverado EV and Blazer EV, is to be launched in fall 2023. It will use GM\u2019s Ultium battery setup, which is a generation ahead of the LG batteries in the Bolt.<\/p>\n

So far, no range or acceleration figures have been released, but GM did say there would be both retail and fleet versions, in LT and RS trim. The appearance owes far more to the Lucid Air than to most guppy-grilled cars, though it too has a massive \u201cgrille\u201d area.<\/p>\n

GM and Ford have been making numerous announcements; Ford has come up with imaginative names for its electric cars (Lightning, Mustang Mach E) while GM has simply appended \u201cEV\u201d to them.
