The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX has been one of the most anticipated vehicles of 2020. After years of speculation, Ram has finally unveiled their supercharged beast. The powertrain is the familiar 6.2 supercharged Hemi V8 that puts out 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. That’s good enough for a 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds, the quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds, and a top speed of 118 mph. Towing is rated at 8,100 lbs and payload is rated 1,310 pounds. An 8-speed automatic transmission with steering-mounted paddle shifters is the only transmission of choice. Four-wheel-drive is standard with nine performance-tuned drive modes.

"Inside

Inside the Ram TRX is a new center console shifter that replaces the old rotary shifter. The center stack now features four auxiliary outlets planted right next to the new trailer steering option. Optional carbon fiber is available and other high-quality materials such as suede can be found in the interior. A heads-up-display is also an option along with the much overdue power-folding tow mirrors. A rear-mounted camera can also be found on the new TRX that will give the driver better visibility when looking at the rearview mirror.

"2021

Outside the TRX has 35-inch Goodyear tires that were designed specifically for the model. The truck adds eight inches of overall width. The front-end receives some new additions including a fully functional hood scoop, redesigned grille and headlights, running lights, and new skid plates. Additional vents and air curtains provide better airflow for high speeds along with a new 5″ exhaust that makes this truck stand out versus the Rebel. Furthermore, the TRX comes with 2.5-inch Bilstein Blackhawk e2 performance shocks, nitro charged remote reservoirs, and 23.6-inch rear coil springs. There are 11.8 inches of ground clearance, 13 inches of front suspension travel, and 14 inches of rear suspension travel.

You can build your TRX right now but it comes with a hefty price tag. The TRX starts at just over $70,000 and the launch edition starts at over $90,000. Expect the TRX to arrive at dealerships in the coming months with dealers already taking deposits.
