Rumors of a Hellcat Durango and Redeye Charger have been circulating the internet for some time now. Today, Dodge broke all the rumors and revealed new stuff coming to the 2021 Challenger, Charger, and Durango.

The 2021 Dodge Durango boasts a facelift with new LED headlamps, grilles, and bumpers to give the three-row SUV a more aggressive look. The interior is also new, with a 10″ UConnect 5 system and center stack controls. The trims include SXT, GT, R/T, Citadel, SRT 392, and SRT Hellcat. All Durango models will have 20 inch wheels. The SRT Hellcat will have a black gloss grille, the SRT, R/T, and GT will have a black honeycomb grille, and the SXT and Citadel will have a painted Granite Crystal grille. There will not be a “crosshair” grille offered. AWD is standard on both SRT models and optional on every other trim level.

The R/T had significant upgrades, including bigger brakes, a throatier exhaust, a sport tuned suspension, and a new “Tow N Go” package that increases max load capacity to 8,700 pounds. The 5.7, rated at 360 horsepower, will tow just over 7,000 pounds and the 3.6, making 290 horsepower, will tow 6,200 pounds. The Hellcat engine is now available, but will be limited to around 2,000 units with 2021—the only year a buyer can get the Hellcat in the large SUV. The engine is slightly different from the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, thanks to some tuning that increases horsepower to 710 while keeping torque at 645 like the Trackhawk. The Durango Hellcat will do 0-60 in 3.5 seconds, complete the quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds, and have a top speed of 180 MPH. Towing is also an impressive 8,700 pounds. Aero was changed for the Hellcat option that now features a new rear spoiler that will generate 140 pounds of downforce at 180 MPH. The new Hellcat Durango also features a new chin splitter and cooling inlets for the oil cooler and air intakes as part of the many upgrades.

The Durango is not the only vehicle in the Dodge lineup that got some love. The Redeye engine is now available in the Charger making 797 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque. It has a top speed of 203 MPH and will do the quarter-mile in 10.6 seconds. Like the Challenger Redeye, it features goodies from the Demon but has a distinct hood. The standard Charger Hellcat is now rated at 717 horsepower. The rest of the Charger lineup will be the same as the 2020 MY.

"2021

The 2020 Dodge Challenger Super Stock will now be available with 807 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque—on pump gas with a 3.09 rear-end. It will do 0-60 in 3.3 seconds, run the quarter-mile in 10.5 seconds, and have a top speed of 168 MPH thanks to the limitations of the sticky Nitto 315 drag tires. This vehicle, unlike the Durango Hellcat, will not be a limited run. The Redeye still continues making 797 horsepower and the standard Hellcat will be available as well.

"2021

Ordering for the 2021 Durango will open in about a month. The Durango Hellcat will be available in early 2021. The Charger and Challenger will be available for ordering this fall.
