Here are all the electric pickups we know about, in one table.

There are many blank spots, and not every factoid is final or definite or even on the same scale; for example, GM’s release on its Hummer lists torque at the wheels, but that doesn’t correspond easily to the SAE torque we’re used to with gasoline-powered cars. None of these figures are final, for any brand, and some are more used to hyperbole than others. Automakers have generally figured out that those who are restrained and conservative in their numbers will get clobbered by the ones who brag and boast and give crazy figures, regardless of what actually gets produced. One company, we won’t tell you which, is still demanding $7,000 up front for an autonomous driving system that’s not ready yet and might never be activated.

"Lordstown

We are not including two pickups known to be coming: a rumored electric Ram, part of a joint venture with a company that understands electric vehicles, and a definite Ford, which is likely going to be a Rivian with a different “top hat” (body above the “skateboard” powertrain/chassis assembly).

Some of the companies provided a great deal of information; others did not; and it’s hard to know which is better. Two companies are mainly aiming for fleets, and at least two are targeting wealthy people; some of these trucks are meant for serious duty (the Bollinger, for serious off-road recreation), and some are just replacements for cars. All of them can outrace a 1999 Corvette or original Viper, at least in a straight line, and most can out-tow the top Ford F-150.

It’s a strange, brave new world for pickups!
