How did we do at predicting the new Chevy Suburban\u2019s looks, and did our erstwhile renderer, Ryan D., do better than General Motors itself?<\/p>\n

And here\u2019s the authentic General Motors image. Ryan accentuated the sides of the car to give hints of muscle, while using a traditional chrome bumper and grille to make it clear that the Suburban is a tough pickup-based body-on-frame SUV.<\/p>\n

2021 Chevrolet Suburban<\/p><\/div>\n

Chevrolet didn\u2019t call out the wheel flares quite as much, integrating them into a gracefully curved arch on the sides; in front, they used a very similar design to Ryan\u2019s, but with an elastomeric bumper and somewhat more detailed grille. \u00a0The “C” shaped DRLs are present in both SUVs, as is the basic grille design, including headlights that are not separated from the grille. As for the basic shape, it appears that GM has sloped the 2021 Suburban\u2019s roof a bit more, cutting its interior space in back a little. (See: 2021 Suburban news<\/a>)<\/p>\n
