AutoBison Ford 2021 F-150 hybrid and goodbye Raptor SuperCab

2021 F-150 hybrid and goodbye Raptor SuperCab

05/09/2020 Donovan Webb

The heavily refreshed 2021 Ford F-150 should be arriving in the near future. Many spy shots have been going around showcasing the GMC Sierra-like headlights and a revised rear end that resembles the previous generation. The body, however, looks the same which leads us to believe this truck is not all-new.

A member at F150Gen14 posted what appears to be engine options for the 2021 Ford F-150. Most engines look to be staying the same though there are some interesting changes coming. First off, there seems to be a new hybrid 3.5 EcoBoost coming. The power numbers are unknown but the 2020 Lincoln Aviator with the 3.0 plug-in-hybrid produces 494 hp and 630 lb-ft of torque. These power numbers would likely change (or maybe not) to suit something like a Raptor (or Limited).

What is also interesting are two other things. First, the 3.0 Power Stroke, which debuted for the 2018 model year, currently has unknown power numbers. We are expecting these numbers to increase because the competition has stepped up their game. There is also no Raptor SuperCab featured in the lineup. This is likely because of the popularity that the SuperCrew version has.

Due to COVID-19, the debut of the 2021 Ford F-150 will likely be pushed back. However, it is nice to see what is coming if this document is true.
