Ram 1500 Built to Serve Edition Honors Service Members
The Ram 1500 Built to Serve edition is a special edition of Ram’s popular new pickup that is intended to honor military service members with unique design elements. The company says the truck is also targeted toward those who haven’t served in the military, but who want to make a difference in their community, encouraging owners to become more involved with local issues.
The truck itself is based on the Ram 1500 Big Horn and packages content from the 4×4 Off Road Group with unique design elements such as a black grille, “Technical Gray” wheels, black side steps, and black exhaust tips. On the interior, Built to Serve models add a Built to Serve instrument panel badge, locking console storage, cloth and vinyl sport seats, black chrome interior trim, and all weather floor mats. On each front seat, there are Velcro panels featuring the Built to Serve emblem designed for easy personalization so buyers can add their own patches.
According to FCA, updated versions of this special edition will arrive every three months, with the first set arriving last year for Veterans Day. Each new version will have unique accents and colors to correspond to different branches of the military. Speaking of colors, several new colors are appearing on the Built to Serve edition that have not been featured on Ram trucks before. Available colors include Ceramic Gray (pictured), Gator, Patriot Blue, Diamond Black, Anvil, Billet Silver, Tank, Flame Red, Spitfire Orange, and Bright White.
This truck is available to order now from your local FCA dealer, and the next wave of this special edition model will likely roll out soon with new color options.
