Video of the 2021 Chevy Suburban?
The people over at Allpar have surfaced a video of what looks like a Ramcharger, but might actually be the Chevrolet Suburban.
The Allpar group noted that while the grille is definitely Ram-ish, with the emphasized crosshairs, Ram itself has stopped using the crosshair design. While they said it could be a Jeep Wagoneer being tested with an old Ram grille, even the Chrysler-besotted site found it equally likely that someone was having a joke.
The camouflaged test SUV has GM rearview mirrors, and the squarish shape that we expect from the next-gen 2021 Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon, and all the other big-truck-based-SUV variants that GM likes to cover the market with. It’s not a particularly large market, nor a rapidly expanding one, but it is one that GM has long dominated and is determined to keep to itself—regardless of what Ford, Toyota, and now FCA may think.
Clark Westfield grew up fixing up and driving past-their-prime American cars, including various GM and Mopar V8s. He has ghostwritten auto news for the last few years, and lives in Farmingdale, New York.
